I loved the characters from the original series so a sequel seemed awesome.

Some of the main characters from the original series just did not get anywhere near enough time or importance in this story (T-Bag, Sucre and especially Kellerman.) and were made to look irrelevant and important.

I appreciate that this is a mini-series but it was all happening so quickly with no build-up, I know this is fiction but it just felt so forced and unrealistic.

The story itself, whilst it had a few nice plot twists, was also not much to look at really.

It was nowhere near as compelling, interesting and shocking as in the original series.

Another really irritating thing is that LJ is pretty much not even mentioned in this season (I think he may be mentioned in one sentence once).

The ending, whilst happy for once, doesnt really decide whether it leaves open a door for any more episodes or not.

I did enjoy seeing the characters from the original series again and it is worth a watch but ultimately it has left me a bit disappointed.
